68.Give short information about the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party is one of the twomajorcontemporarypolitical parties in the United States, along with the youngerRepublican Party. Tracing its origins back to theDemocratic-Republican Party, the modern Democratic Party was founded around 1828.  There have been 15 Democratic presidents, the first beingAndrew Jackson, who served from 1829 to 1837; the most recent is the current president,Barack Obama, who has served since 2009.

Since the 1930s, the party has promoted a social-liberalplatform, supporting amixed economyandsocial justice. The party's philosophy ofcontemporary American liberalismadvocatescivil and political rightsandlibertiesalong withsocial justice. It pursues a mixed economy by providinggovernment interventionandregulationin the economy. These interventions, such asuniversal health care, labor protection, social programs, equal opportunity, consumer protection, andenvironmental protection, form the party's economic policy basis. Until the late 20th century the party had a powerful conservative and populist wing based in the rural South, which over time has greatly diminished. Today its Congressional caucus is composed mostly ofprogressivesandcentrists.

In the 114th Congress, following the2014 elections, the Democratic Party will hold a minority of seats in theHouse of Representativesas well as in theUnited States Senate. The party also holds a minority of stategovernorshipsand control of a minority ofstate legislatures.

Initially calling itself the "Republican Party," Jeffersonians were labeled "Democratic" by the opposition Federalists, with the hope of stigmatizing them as purveyors of democracy or mob rule. The most common mascot symbol for the party has been thejackass, ordonkey. Andrew Jackson's enemies twisted his name to "jackass" as a term of ridicule regarding a stupid and stubborn animal.

77)Give short information about the Executive branch

The executive is the part of the government that has sole authority and responsibility for the daily administration of the state. The executive branch executes, or enforces the law. The division of power into separate branches of government is central to the idea of the separation of powers.

The separation of powers system is designed to distribute authority among several branches — an attempt to preserve individual liberty in response to tyrannical leadership throughout history. The executive officer is not supposed to make laws (the role of the legislature) or interpret them (the role of the judiciary). The role of the executive is to enforce the law as written by the legislature and interpreted by the judicial system.

78)Give short information about the Legislative branch

The legislative branch is one of three branches of the U.S. government -- the executive and judicial are the other two -- and it is the one charged with creating the laws that hold our society together. Article I of the Constitution established Congress, the collective legislative body made up of the Senate and the House.

The primary function of these two bodies is to write, debate and pass bills and to send them on to the president for his approval or veto. If the president gives his approval to a bill, it immediately becomes law. However, if the [president vetoes the bill, Congress is not without recourse. With a two-thirds majority in both houses, Congress may override the presidential veto.
