ABOUT MYSELF

My name is Boris Smirnov. Now I am 20 years old. I was born in Smolensk in 1989. Our family lives in Smolensk in Kirov Street. We have a two-room flat on the second floor. I have a father, a mother and a sister. First of all some words about my parents. My mother is a doctor. She works at a hospital. Mу father is a teacher. He is a teacher of History. He works at school. My mother is 42 and my father is 45 years old. My grandmother does not live with us. She is a pensioner. She is not very old, she is 65. But she is often ill and my sister and I help her about the house. My sister`s name is Ann. She is a schoolgirl. She is in the 9th form. Her dream is to enter the Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism. She is a good skier. She has the second degree in skiing. She is fond of sports. I am a trainer. I finished school 3 years ago and entered the Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism. I am a part-time student. I combine my work with studies. Being a schoolboy I began to go in for sports. I went in for different kinds of sports but I liked gymnastics best of all. I spend much time in a gym. I have the first degree. I want to become a Master of Sports so I train hard. I have 5 or 6 trainings a week. I often take part in different competitions. I was the champion of our city. Last month I participated in regional contest and won the first place. We study many subjects at the Academy. Extra-mural students have two examination sessions a year. We take some exams and oral tests. I like to study at the Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism.

III. ПОВТОРИТЕ Спряжение глаголов “to be ”, “to have”; множественное число имен существительных; степени сравнения прилагательных и наречий; неопределенные времена действительного залога; местоимения; оборот "there is/are"; словообразование.

ПОВТОРИВ ГРАММАТИЧЕСКИЙ МАТЕРИАЛ, ПРИСТУПАЙТЕ К ВЫПОЛНЕНИЮ УПРАЖНЕНИЙ.

1. Поставьте следующие предложения в форму множественного числа, сделав соответствующие изменения форм имени существительного, местоимения, глагола и артикля. Переведите предложения на русский язык.

Образец: He has a friend. They have friends.

This is a sportsman. There is a stadium in our city. He takes part in contests. She goes in for sport. He will win a medal. He has one lesson today.

2. Перепишите следующие предложения, содержащие разной формы сравнения, переведите на русский язык.

Lenin Stadium is the largest stadium in our country. The more you train, the better results you show. This book is the most interesting.

3. Напишите глаголы, от которых образованы следующие существительные. Переведите глаголы и существительные на русский язык. Образец: participation - to participate

4. Поставьте следующие предложения в отрицательную и вопросительную формы:

There are many Masters of Sport at our Institute. He goes in for sport.

They took part in the competition. I shall qualify for the 2nd degree.

5. Поставьте следующие предложения в прошедшее и будущее неопределенное время:

I study at the Institute. He sets a record.

6. Перепишите следующие словосочетания, переведите их, учитывая особенности перевода определений, выраженных именами существительными:

A world record, a city championship, sport games, a first year student.
