(The Simple Sentence)
There is a passenger at the desk.
There are plenty of declaration forms on that table.
There will be a meeting with the head of the Customs tomorrow.
Оборот there is (there are) может употребляться в разных временных формах:
There were many tourists at the travel agency.
There will be a lot of job tomorrow.
It is cold.
It was autumn.
It is getting dark.
Does he work at the Customs? Yes, he does.
Did you see him yesterday? No, I didn’t.
Специальные вопросы ставятся к какому-либо члену предложения и начинаются с вопросительного слова, например: who, what, which, where и т.д.
What does he do?
Where does she work?
What does the canine team examine?
или what?
Who(m) has the agent just spoken with?
Who(m) did he give the declaration to?
Does he study English or French?
Is the passenger at the arrival or departure lounge?
Ann doesn’t work hard, does she?
He has returned from Moscow, hasn’t he?
She is very busy, isn’t she?
I don’t remember his address.
Without the documents he would not have been cleared by the Customs officer.
He can’t translate this text without my help.
