Every morning they can see the towers of old buildings, the church in the centre of the Campus and benches with the names of outstanding leaders. But the main part of their daily running exercise lies along the bank of the river which flows behind the walls of their University. Fifteen minutes run makes them energetic and ready for classes. They return to their room, take a shower, dress and have breakfast. Their breakfast usually consists of eggs, toasts, jam and tea or coffee. At 8 they are ready to start working. Today they have two lectures before the break for lunch, free tutoring at the student Development centre and some personal work in the Campus computer lab. Jane is not quite good at programming, but she knows that lab-assistants are always on hand to help her.

So, at 5 she is free. This week she does not meet her academic adviser, that is why she has the opportunity to participate in the inter-college competitions. She likes swimming and fortunately her college has a 25-meter swimming pool in the Recreation Centre.
