Culture of the United States was shaped by centuries of ethnic and racial diversity of the country. A significant influence on it had immigrants in countries such as Ireland, Germany, Poland, Italy, the descendants of slaves brought from Africa, as well as American Indians and Native Hawaiians. However, the decisive contribution made culture of immigrants from England, which spread the English language, legal system and other cultural achievements. American film, television, blues, jazz, rap and rock are the foundation of the world of mass culture. It first appeared in the U.S. Internet, a massive car, have developed information technology. As a leading economic and military power in the world, it largely determines the lifestyle the rest of humanity. [1

The United States of America consist of the 50 states that are equal subjects of the federation, the Federal District of Columbia and dependent territories. In the United States Constitution is the principle of separation of powers, by whichthe federal government has legislative, executive and judicial authorities, acting independently of each other.

The highest legislative body - the bicameral United States Congress:

the lower house - the House of Representatives;

the upper chamber - the Senate.

The highest executive body - President of the United States. President - the head of state, chief of the armed forces (see list of U.S. presidents). There is a vice president.

The supreme body of the judiciary - the Supreme Court of the United States.
