Example of individual task
Individual task of
the course "Statistics"
Part 1
According to a statistical survey conducted by the companies that are listed in Table. 1, perform the following tasks:
Make a grouping of enterprises in terms of exports (form 4 groups with equal intervals) and ownership. Characterize each group.
Make analytical grouping of companies by finding the relationships between the volume of investment and the amount of profit.
Make grouping of enterprises by branch purpose of investment. Characterize each group of businesses by the amount of enterprises and the volume of investment (in general and in % to the total).
Make the grouping of companies by the degree of investment risk. Characterize each group by the amount of businesses and average volume of investments.
5. Portray graphically the grouping of enterprises in terms of exports as a histogram.
The results of groupings are to be presented in the form of statistical tables.
Part 2
On the basis of the grouping done in p. 2, part 1,determine for the factor variable:
Mean, mode and median.
Indicators of variation (dispersion, standard deviation, coefficient of variation).
