8. Learning from learners

A learner wrote this reply to a letter asking for advice. Underline six more mistakes and write the corrections. Does the letter reply to Extract А, В or С below?

Dear Unhappy

Your letter was very interesting, and you are certainly in a difficult situation. I think the first thing you do is arrange a meeting with your daughter. Then, if I were you I tell her exactly how I felt about her husband’s behaviour. She might get angry at first, but hopefully she will listen and understand your situation. You could trying asking her to speak to her husband. She should to talk to him and find out why he’s always rude to you. If she still doesn’t understand your problem, perhaps you should to try to talk to your son-in-law yourself. And finally, why you don’t stop worrying too much. You should being happy that your daughter is such a good friend!

Teacher: What 1.__________________ (you/think) about if you're going to go travelling?

Student: Well, you 2. __________________ (consider) lots of things first. For example, you 3. __________________ (have) enough money in the first place, so you 4.__________________ (work) a bit first to save some money. Then another

important thing to consider is who to go with. You 5. __________________ (travel) with a friend, but it is probably safer and less lonely if you do. Also, you

Buddhist temple in a clockwise direction. You 9. __________________ (find out)

these things before you go.

Teacher: What things 10. __________________ (you/arrange) before you travel?

Student: Well, to visit some countries you 11. __________________ (have) a visa, so you

12. __________________ (organise) that before you go.
