1. С глаголами чувственного и умственного восприятия в страдательном залоге: to see (видеть), to hear (слышать), to know (знать), to think (думать), to say (говорить), to suppose (полагать), to believe (считать), to expect (ожидать).	He is said to be a talented scientist. Говорят, что он талантливый ученый. She is known to develop new methods. Известно, что она разрабатывает новые методы.
2. С глаголами в действительном залоге: to seem (казаться); to appear, to happen, to turn out, to prove (оказываться).	The inventor seems to work hard. Кажется, изобретатель много работает. He turned out to be a good specialist. Он оказался хорошим специалистом.
3. С прилагательными sure (обязательно, непременно) likely (похоже, вероятно) unlikely (похоже, что не …)	The experiment is sure to be a success. Эксперимент непременно будет успешным. He is unlikely to do this research. Похоже, что он не выполнит это исследование.
