«Smart» wells
«Smart well», «Intelligent well » or «High Technology Well» – a well that has several components for acquisition, transmission and analysis of production and reservoir data that enable inflow control at separate perforation intervals for production optimization purpose without well intervention
Main elements:
1.Inflow Control Valves (ICV), unlike Inflow Control Devices (ICD) are operated from the surface and enable to control rate of production from several perforated intervals
2.Downhole measurement systems
3.Packers isolating perforated intervals
