Key Features of the Book

1. The book is divided into four main sections which deal with the Historical Context, different Theoretical Approaches to the subject, Structure and Process in International Politics, and important Contemporary Issues.

2. Each of the chapters is designed to be accessible and easy to read with a number of novel learning aids including:

Reader's Guide. A brief summary of the main points is provided at the beginning of each chapter.

Boxed Sections. Key concepts, important quotations, case studies, and historical chronologies are contained in boxes.

Bullet Points. Key sections of each chapter end with a series of bullet points to high­light the most important points of the section.

Diagrams and Maps. These provide useful information to supplement the text.

End of Chapter Questions. Each chapter ends with a series of questions which can be used for discussion or essay-writing purposes.

Further Reading. Each chapter also provides a brief guide to further reading on the subject covered.

Consolidated Bibliography. At the end of the book a detailed list of sources is pro­vided.
