	1) Introduction. Ice-Breaker							Работа

	The students say their name and the city, starting with the same letter as their name.
	For example: My name is Florence and the city is Frankfurt.

	One student gives the name of his/her neighbour in the group and adds an adjective/a character trait to describe

	2) Class Survey						15 min.	Работа

	The students get individual questions to ask their classmates. They make notes and share the results in small
	groups of 3-4 people.
	Feedback (optional): The teacher asks the students what surprised them most in the answers of their col-
	leagues.
	3) Guessing Game						20 min.	Работа

	The students are divided into 2–3 teams and brainstorm “Top 10 Traditional Romantic Gifts”.						A. 10 min.
	Then they make a list of them in the right sequence.						B. 10 min.

	Compare to the one which is provided.

	The students listen to the text “Why Do People Give Gifts for Weddings?” and answer the questions.							та + работа в

	5) Group Discussion						10 min.	Работа
	Provoke a group discussion about the most extraordinary gift you ever saw at a wedding.							в группе.
	6) Debates						20 min.	Работа
	Tell the students the rules of the debates:							в группе.
	1. Follow your role logically.
	2. Prepare well-grounded arguments.
	3. Disagree politely.
	4. Do not interrupt.
	The topic is: “The government should forbid medical operations that allow people to change sex.”
	The group is divided in 2 parts “Pro” and “Contra”, and should defend their side regardless of their own viewpoint.
	7) Grammar Block. Questions						15 min.	Работа
	The teacher reminds the students about the types of questions:							в группе.

1.General / Yes-No question

2.Special / WH-question

3.Alternative

4.Disjunctive

Two volunteers mime a couple. (The names are given only to the miming couple.)

Others ask questions to guess. (Only the correctly built question should be answered.)

8) Creativity Section. Acrostic to the Neighbour	15 min.	Индивидуаль-
The students write an acrostic to their left-hand neighbour.		ная работа.
They write the name of the person they sit with vertically and start every line with the exact letter from the name.
The line may contain an adjective to describe the person (positivelty!) and should not necessarily be rhymed.
They give the acrostic to each other as a little present.
