We remind you that under our General Conditions to the above

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of May 10th informing us that you would like to act as our agents in Iceland and also bringing up the question whether we dispatch instruments on a consignment basis.

The matter is that usually we sell instruments through agents and in most cases we send them on consignment. The agents make out list of firms interested in such instruments and distribute our leaflets with these firms. They also arrange showrooms and provide them with all facilities necessary for work. Very often they spare neither trouble nor expense on running the business. In this case we prefer no other firm to be involved in the same affair, and come to terms about signing a sole agency agreement very easily.

If the goods are sold before the time provided for the agreement we agree that the agents charge part of the involved expenses at our account. They usually deduct roughly 0.5 per cent of their expenses from the sum due to us and the balance of the amount is credited to our account. This helps to contribute to our mutual interests.

If you agree to do this kind of agents’ work at your expense, we shall be willing to start discussions.
