Freight traffic is an important field of national economy. It is developing at a high rate. Freight and people are transported from one place to another. Transportation is performed by air, rail, road, water, cable, pipeline and space. Our life is impossible without food and other necessary things. It is rather difficult to organize the correct transportation because a lot of factors must be taken into account.
While transporting of freight specialists must take into account many items, for example, fuel saving, efficient shipment, correct packaging, rational routes of delivery, time saving, product safety, necessary vehicles for transportation, safety rules of storage and etc.
It is very important to provide harmless freight traffic. Specialists in organization of transportation must keep all safety regulations not to injure people and environment because the freight may be poisonous, highly inflammable and explosive.
It is very essential to keep freight quality and quantity. Consumers are unpleased if the cargo is damaged while transporting. The goods must be delivered in time. We must supply the right item in the right quantity, at the right time, at the right place and for the right price.
Transportation of goods is getting more and more important because consumer’s demand must be fulfilled in an efficient way. People of this profession must be responsible. They have to organize the correct transportation of goods from the point of origin to the point of consumption avoiding different accidents.
