Образование вопросительной формы в Past Simple одинаково для всех лиц единственного и множественного числа (I, you, he, she, it, we they)

Ex. 1 Rewrite these sentences in the Past Simple, keeping them as questions or negatives

Example: Do they agree? Did they agree?

Past Simple: positive – regular verbs / правильные глаголы

Грамматическая справка

Правильные глаголы имеют одинаковую форму для всех лиц единственного и множественного числа (I, you, he, she, it, we, they)

Употребление:

yesterday, last week/month, year, three days ago, in 1987

Past Simple употребляется для обозначения:

1. действия, которое произошло в прошлом и не связано с настоящим. Момент действия либо указан, либо подразумевается; для рассказа о событиях в прошлом и для описания ряда действий, следовавших одно за другим;

2. обычно повторяющегося действия в прошлом

Ex. 2 Change the verbs into the Past Simple, keeping them as positive, negative or questions

Example:

He lives there. He lived there.

Do you work there? Did you work there?

I don’t like the film. I didn’t like the film.

1. She hates the hotels.

2. We don’t live there.

3. Does he play the piano?

4. I love Paris.

5. He doesn’t work very hard.

6. She travels a lot.

Past Simple: positive – irregular verbs (неправильные глаголы)

Неправильные глаголы имеют одинаковую форму для всех лиц единственного и множественного числа (см. таблицу неправильных глаголов)

Ex. 3 Rewrite the sentences using the verbs in brackets in the Past Simple

Example:

Употребляется для обозначения:

- процесса, действия, которое происходило в определенный момент в прошлом

Yesterday evening I was reading a book

- двух действий, которые одновременно протекают в прошлом

While I was reading, he was sleeping

- одного действия в процессе, на фоне которого происходит однократное действие, характер последнего носит моментальный, а не длительный характер

I was having a bath when the phone rang

Ex. 1 Look at these sentences and answer the questions by choosing A. or B.

Example: When I saw, they were playing football
