I am a student and must work very hard, so I always look forward to the weekends and holidays. On Sunday, I don’t have to hurry anywhere, that’s why I often have a lie-in. I do my bed, wash my face and go to the kitchen. I like to have something tasty for breakfast on Sunday: chicken or my favourite apple pie. After breakfast, if the weather is sunny, I usually don’t stay indoors, I go to see my friends. After dinner we usually visit our grandparents or relatives, or I just simply have a sleep. Sometimes I go to an art exhibition or to the concert. When it’s rainy I prefer staying at home and watching videos.

At the university we have two holidays. It’s fun to have holidays, you can do whatever you like, you don’t have to get up early, go to classes and do your homework. In winter we have two-week holidays. I spend much of my time outdoors skiing and snowboarding. But I like summers holidays better because it’s much longer. I’d like to tell you about my summer holidays I spent in Sochi with my family last year when I was a school-boy.

The idea to go to Sochi occurred to my father. My mother and I jumped with joy on hearing it. So one summer morning we started for our journey to Sochi. First, we travelled to Odessa by plane and from there we got to Sochi by boat. We stayed in Odessa for three days, our relatives there gave us board and lodging. So we had an excellent opportunity to go round the city, to see beautiful monuments to the famous people who had lived in Odessa, museums and the Odessa Opera House. I enjoyed our trip from Odessa to Sochi. The Black Sea was calm. We sat on deck in the lounge chairs and looked at the sea. I like Sochi very much, we went to the beach to have a swim and to lie in the sun. In the evening we went for a walk or dropped in at a café to have ice-cream or juice. Our father showed us the famous Botanical Gardens, we went for hikes in the mountains, we saw the magnificent Augura Waterfalls. The sea was nice and warm, the weather was fine. When it was to go home, we were sorry to leave the marvelous city of Sochi.
