Dialogue 1
Come in, please! You can hang up your coats and umbrellas here.
What a cozy place!
This way, please. This is our living room.
Oh, there isn’t much furniture. Nothing superfluous.
We have been living here for three weeks. We have recently moved in. I haven’t had time to furnish the rooms. Make yourself comfortable!
Dialogue 2
The English say: A man’s home is his castle. Is your “castle” large enough for your family?
Oh, quite. There are two bedrooms, a guest room and a children room upstairs and a living room, a kitchen, a study, a lavatory and a den downstairs. We have been living here since our wedding.
Is the house convenient to live in?
We’ve got all the conveniences: electricity, gas, heating, water supply and a telephone.
This suburb is a nice place to rest, but how do you get to your work in the city?
That’s not a problem. I go by car and it takes me about 45 minutes. I drive fast.
Dialogue 3
I am a homemaker. “Home-keeping hearts are the happiest”. But sometimes doing chores gets on my nerves.
To clean, wash up, vacuum and mend can bother everyone. But to take care of pot plants and to cook are pleasant chores.
They are, and of course, all these household appliances help and save a lot of time.
Oh, I see. You are too creative and energetic person to do only home business. How long haven’t you been working?
I’m afraid I haven’t been working for five years. It’s high time to change my life style.
