2. Альтернативный вопрос (Alternative question)

Альтернативный вопрос задаётся тогда, когда отвечающий должен сделать выбор между двумя возможностями. Состоит из двух общих вопросов, соединённых союзом or (или). Ответ развёрнутый, повторяет первую или вторую часть вопроса.

Можно упростить альтернативный вопрос, сократив его вторую часть.

3. Разделительный вопрос. Tag question.

Разделительный вопрос употребляется тогда, когда мы хотим получить подтверждение слушающего, согласен ли он с тем заявлением, которые мы сейчас сделали. Ответ краткий.

4. Специальный вопрос. Wh question.

Специальный вопрос задаётся тогда, когда мы хотим узнать, кто совершает действие (вопрос к подлежащему), где, когда, почему, при каких обстоятельствах оно происходит. Требует развёрнутого ответа. Специальный вопрос всегда начинается со специального вопросительного слова:

Who – кто where – где, куда what – что, какой

Whom – кого why – почему, зачем which – который

When – когда how – как how long – как долго

What time – во сколько how many(much) – сколько whose - чей
