Dear Sir,

I have seen your advertisement in the Daily Star. I am really interested in this sort of week and I would like to give you some information about me.

I would like you to know I am good student - my best subjects are maths and physics. I will take the FCE exam in December and I am also going often to the gym which it means I am very fit. I am also a member of the school athletic team.

I would like you to know I went to a summer camp last year and I think this is a good thing for a good leader to do. I am 15 years old. I would rather be a group leader in the first period. (I worked to a camp in Spain last year).

I believe you must give me the job because of my enthusiasm and because the children will like me and do what I tell them.

Yours faithfully,

Dear P. Bradley

I was reading a magazine the other day – I think it was the February edition of sunshine holidays, and I saw your advertisement for travel couriers, and I thought I’d really like a job like that.

You see, I’ve got a degree in modern languages from Bristol university, and I speak lots of languages – french german spanish and just a little bit of greek too. I’ve been to all sorts of places in Europe.

Last year me and my friend Paul went camping in France and Italy, and we saw the museums and all the places like that. I think I’d bee really good at showing people round these places, well I’d really like the chance to try anyway. I’m not doing anything at the moment, so I could come and see you anytime.

Just give me a ring – 381229.

I’m looking forward to meeting you.

Yours Henderson
