EVERYDAY ENGLISH
GREETINGSПриветствия
New Vocabulary
– Hi!
– Hello!
– It's nice to see you!
– It is nice to see you, too!
– How are you?
– I am fine, thanks. And how are you? A ты?
– I'm fine, too, thanks.
Обычно англичане представляются с помощью оборота I am (или его сокращённой формы I'm) либо употребляют выражение my name is (my name's).
– What is your name?
– My name's Thomas.
– I'm Тоm.
– I am Kate.
– My name's Thomas.
– My name is Catherine Burlington.
– It's nice to meet you, Catherine!
– Nice to meet you, too, Thomas!
Bye!
See you!
See you later!
See you soon!
Take care!
Take care of yourself!
We'll be in touch. / We'll keep in touch. / We'll stay in touch.
Nice to meet you.
given name – имя (данное) last name/family name – фамилия
Christian name –
My name's Thomas. My name is Thomas Cook.
I don't think / I believe you've met Susan Bennett.
Have you met / Do you know Frank Simpson?
May I introduce Mr Bennett?
Let me / Allow me to introduce Mrs Bennett.
I’d like you to meet Mr Simpson.
This is ... .
May I / Let me introduce myself. I'm ... .
I haven't introduced myself, have I? My name is ... .
Hello (there). I'm....
How do you do?
Hello!
Had / nice /pleased to meet you.
На вежливый вопрос: How are you? следует ответить I am fine, thanks.
I'm fine, thanks.
Fine, thanks.
