Grammar
1/4 - one fourth, 4/5 - four fifths, 5/6 - five sixths, 1/8 - one eighth
Когда числитель больше единицы, знаменатель принимает окончание - "s": 3/4 - three quarters (three fourths).
3/4 mile читается как three quarters of a mile - три четверти мили.
2 1/4 - two and one fourth (two and a quarter), 5 3/4 - five and three quarters.
2 1/2 tons = two and a half tons или two tons and a half.
25.543 - two five point five four three
0.45 - nought point four five = point four five.
18.109 - one eight point one nought nine.
0.45 - nought point four five ton
18.109 - one eight point one nought nine tons
It's ten past eleven. – 10
It's a quarter past eleven. –
It's half past eleven. –
It's ten to twelve. –
It's a quarter to twelve. –
It's twenty minutes to twelve. –
It is eleven sharp. –
My watch is five minutes fast. –
My watch is five minutes slow. –
What day is it today? –
What date is it today? –
What time is it now?
What is the time?
