V. Complete the following passage by putting the verb into the Past Indefinite:

After the Second World War, Akio Morita, the co-founder of Sony, ____ (join) forces with a friend, Masaru Ibuka. Both men ____ (know) a great deal about telecommunications, so they ____ (use) all their money, about £ 100, and ____ (set) up a small engineering company, Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo. VIII. In the dialogue, put the verbs into the Past Indefinite or the Present Perfect:

A: Can I have a word about your trip to Athens?

B: Yes, of course. Is everything OK?

В: Thank you. What about money?
