Past continuous active (прошедшее длительное время)
Past Continuous используется для обозначения длительного действия, начавшегося до определенного момента в прошлом и все еще совершавшегося в этот момент:
It was raining.
The children were playing rugby, when I saw them.
Past Continuous не употребляется с глаголами, выражающими чувства, восприятия и умственные состояния: like, love, hate, want, need, prefer, know, realize, suppose, mean, understand, believe, remember, belong, contain, consist, depend, seem.

Future continuous active (будущее длительное время)
Future Continuous употребляется для обозначения действия, которое будет происходить в определенный момент в будущем:
Don’t phone between 7 and 8, I’ll be having dinner.
This time next week I’ll be lying on the beach.
Future Continuous не употребляется с глаголами, выражающими чувства, восприятия и умственные состояния: like, love, hate, want, need, prefer, know, realize, suppose, mean, understand, believe, remember, belong, contain, consist, depend, seem:
