Section 3 – Experience
Include any dental experience achieved outside university clinics.
This can include experiences abroad during dental electives.
Should include what you gained & achieved in VT.
Section 4 – Education
Being a dental CV it is likely that your GCSE’s and AS/A2/A-levels are littered with A’s & A*’so don’t dwell on this area. Keep it brief. Feel free to include anything you feel may make you stand out in your pre-university education e.g. scholarship, prizes.
List your responsibilities
Section 5 – Personal Development
List courses you have been on and Continuing professional development (CPD) activities completed. If there are too many focus on the one you feel are important.
Mention any exams passed even if not all sections/exams are completed.
Key skills portfolio (should be completed from VT)
Section 6 – Skills & Interests
Other skills and interests
Driving license can show ability to commute.
Foreign language skills
Section 7 – Referees
If this is your first job after VT, you should use your VT trainer as your referee.
Include their full name, practice address and contact details.
If you have a successful interview then you offer will normally be subject to a check with your reference.
