To make and to do

TO MAKE:

a) to produce: I’m going to show you how to make a box for your tools.

made from – when the materials used to make smth have been completely changed and cannot be recognized: Paper is made from wood.

made of: - the original materials have not been completely changed and still can be recognized: a table made of wood

made by: is used to talk about a person or a company that made smth: All the furniture in this room is made by my grandfather.

b) be a total: Two and two make four. There are nine people plus me, which make ten.

c) remember the collocations:

TO MAKE: a mistake/error; a call; a list; an effort/an attempt; progress; a statement/suggestion/complaint; a decision/plan; a start; money/ a profit/a fortune/ a living; a change/alteration/adjustment; an appointment/date; a deadline; a hole/dent/scratch:

d) remember the phrases with to make:
