Music

People can not imagine their life without music. We listen to music, dance to music or learn to play musical instruments. Music has become the part of our life. There is music everywhere: at home, in a concert hall, in the park, at the seaside, in the forest and even in the street, on radio and TV. Music is a word whose accepted definitions vary with time, place and culture. In the ancient world it was thought to be a magic, the voice of gods.

Music is not a combination of pleasant sounds only. It is said to be an art, or form of entertainment, which reflects our life. It is also can be defined by contrast with noise or speech. Generally it is a kind of art, because music reflects people's ideas and emotions. In this world, filled with conflicts, tragedies, joys and hopes, music strives to speak to people of what is most important, urgent and poignant.

Different people like different kinds of music or different genres are classical music and popular music or commercial music which itself can be divided into the most popular genres of music today are rock, metal, disco, pop-music, rave, hip hop, new age, etc. You may prefer pop or rock music, country or folk music, classical music or jazz, but you certainly cannot think of a day without music. Due to the technological progress the major part of music produced today can be classified as electronic music. It is a loose term for music created using electronic equipment. Even the introduction of electronic amplifiers may touch off discussions of electronic music, therefore jazz and folk music, for example, have gone through a good deal of argument about the topic.

As a category of criticism however, electronic music refers to music produced largely by electronic components, such as synthesizers, samplers, computers, and drum machines.

The late 1980s and early 1990s all fuelled the development and acceptance of electronic music into the mainstream and to introduce electronic dance music to nightclubs. It based on the fact that electronic composition can create rhythms faster and more precise than is possible using traditional percussion and the sound of electronic dance music often features electronically altered sounds or samples of traditional instruments and vocals. The falling price of suitable equipment for electronic music creation and performance has meant that popular music has increasingly been made electronically. Electronic music, especially in the late 1990s fractured into many genres, styles and sub-styles, too many to list.

Anyway there are enough music genres for every fastidious listener and admirer; if not, there is wide enough range of technical measures to create a new one.
