Введение
Учебное пособие Business Issues состоит из трёх разделов. Каждая часть состоит из нескольких глав, которые, в свою очередь, делятся на разделы.
Первая часть пособия рассматривает различные аспекты коммерческой деятельности фирм и предприятий.
В I главе «Management» даётся определение и понятие менеджмента, его уровни, цели, задачи и умения, которыми должен обладать руководитель.
Во II главе «Marketing» описываются этапы становления этого вида экономической деятельности, его типы и составляющие.
Глава III посвящена типам предприятий. В первом разделе характеризуются предприятия малого и среднего бизнеса – частное предприятие, товарищество, права и обязанности владельцев. Во втором разделе даётся характеристика совместного предприятия – исследование зарубежного рынка, выбор и сотрудничество с зарубежными партнёрами, заимствование технологий и привлечение инвестиций. Третий раздел данной главы посвящён такому типу предприятия как акционерная компания. Описываются типы акционерных компаний: акционерная компания открытого типа и акционерная компания закрытого типа, их отличительные особенности. В четвёртом разделе описывается планирование малого бизнеса – первоначальные расходы, производственные расходы, поток наличности, точка безубыточности и расчёт всего капитала владения. Приводятся образцы составления бизнес – плана.
Глава IV «Banks and Money» состоит из трёх разделов. В первом разделе даётся определение понятия «деньги» и рассматриваются роль и функции денег в экономике; во втором – описываются различные типы банков и банковских операций; третий раздел касается такого явления как инфляция и гиперинфляция.
В главе V затрагивается вопрос о ярмарках и выставках как средстве рекламирования и продвижения товаров и услуг: описываются правила и условия участия в них, даётся образец заявки на участие.
В главе VI, посвящённой деловым контактам, приводится лексика, которая поможет назначить, перенести деловую встречу и обсудить вопросы с деловым партнёром.
В главе VII дан образец составления контракта. Работая с материалами данной главы, пользователь познакомится с таким понятием как форс-мажорные обстоятельства, какими документами согласно контракту должен сопровождаться груз, что представляют собой такие финансовые документы как счёт-фактура, аккредитив, безотзывный аккредитив.
В главе VIII приводятся образцы деловых писем, рассказывается о роли письма в бизнесе, каков должен быть стиль делового письма, даются клише, используемые в деловой переписке.
Вторая часть учебного пособия посвящена рассмотрению различных экономических вопросов.
Глава I «Economic problem» дает определение экономики как науки. В разделе 1 рассматривается основополагающая проблема экономики – проблема выживания. Раздел 2 посвящен экономическому вопросу выбора в ситуации постоянного недостатка. Здесь же освящаются три основных вопроса экономики: «Что? Как? Кому?».
Глава II «Economic system» состоит из 2 разделов. Раздел 1 рассматривает экономическое общество как механизм для выживания, а также основные типы экономической организации общества. Раздел 2 касается рыночной экономики и ее проблем, командной экономики и смешанной экономики.
В главе III даются определения макроэкономики и микроэкономики и различия между вопросами, на которые дает ответы макроэкономика и микроэкономика.
