Do you want tea or coffee? Either.Idon’tmind. Вы хотите кофе или чай? Хоть то, хоть другое.Не имеет значения.

  1. также не ( во втором из двух отрицательных предложений)

Coal isn’t a metal and salt isn’t either. Уголь не является металлом, сольтакже (неявляется металлом).

  1. Either …. or или ..., или ...

We can reach America either by air or by sea. Мы можем добраться до Америкиилипо воздуху,илиморем.

Notes.Если союзeitheror соединяет подлежащие, глагол-сказуемое согласуется с ближайщим подлежащим (в лице и числе).

Either I or my mother goes shopping. Either my mother or I go shopping.

III. E. Neither

1. ни один из

Neither of us is an economist. Ни один из нас не является экономистом.

2. neither … nor ни ..., ни ...

Neither he nor I know French. Нион,ния не знаем французского.

Notes:В английском языкеодно отрицание.

Если союз neithernor соединяет подлежащие, глагол-сказуемое согласуется с ближайщим подлежащим (в лице и числе).

Neither Nick nor his friends have holidays.

Neither his friends nor Nick has holidays.

III. F. Translate the sentences

1. Neither of the girls is tall. 2. He's either Spanish or Italian. 3. Neither of us is married. 4. She's neither tall nor short. 5. 1s he dark or fair? – Neither, he’s red-haired. 6. III. I. Complete the sentences with both (of) / neither (of) / either (of)
