Viewing Cyclic Data
The Configuration Editor provides a number of ways of viewing the definitions of registers for cyclic data links.
In the Link Architecture view, the definitions for each link or node can be viewed in tooltips displayed when the mouse cursor hovers over a link or a node.
The following shows a tooltip summarising the registers transmitted from node 7 to node 1. The tooltip is displayed when the mouse cursor is placed over the link from node 7 to node 1.
The following shows a tooltip summarising the registers being transmitted from and received by node 7. The tooltip is displayed when the mouse cursor is placed over node 7.
Another way of quickly viewing or editing cyclic data definitions is by slaving the Cyclic Data and Link Architecture views - if both views are open, selecting a link or a node in the Link Architecture view will display the cyclic data definitions in the Cyclic Data view. For example, if the windows are tiled as shown below, as different links are selected by clicking on them with the mouse in the Link Architecture view, the Cyclic Data view switches to display the register definitions for the selected link.

Selecting Links
To select a data link in the Link Architecture view
1. Click on the link withthe mouse.
The following example shows the data link from node 3 to node 1 on network CTNet0 as selected.
The following example shows the data link from node 5 to node 3 on network CTNet0 as selected.

Rearranging Links
To help visualise cyclic data flow between nodes it is possible to rearrange, highlight and hide links in the Link Architecture view.
To sort all data links
1. From View menu, choose Links.
The Link Architecture view appears.
2. On the View toolbar, press
All data links are sorted from left to right starting with the links for the topmost node.
To sort data links for a selected node
1. Select the node for which to sort data links.
2. On the View toolbar, press
The data links coming from and going to the selected node appear in the leftmost positions. As different nodes re selected, the links are rearranged so that the links to and from the selected node are always shown on the left of the view.
To highlight data links for a selected node
1. Select the node for which to highlight data links.
2. On the View toolbar, press .
The data links coming from and going to the selected node are then highlighted and other links are greyed out.
To hide links not connected to a selected node
1. Select the node for which to only show data links.
2. On the View toolbar, click
The view will then only show links to and from the selected node.
