Dpl Editor

The DPL (Drive Programming Language) Editor allows programs to be written for the drives making up your system or application.

The DPL editor is used to write programs for all targets supported by SYPT with the exception of the onboard PLC within the Unidrive SP. Programs are developed for this target using SYPTLite.

When offline and not communicating with targets/ drives, the DPL editor is divided into three sections: the Workspace, the main DPL view and the Output Window. When online the Task Manager can also be displayed to show the status of tasks in user programs executing on targets.

The Workspace displays the components of DPL programs - the tasks/ sections, user-defined function blocks, QLD diagrams and LD/ FBD diagrams in a hierarchical tree structure. You can open many programs at the same time and switch from one to another by selecting them in the tree.

The DPL view holds the program identification information and the source code for the DPL program - the DPL text plus any diagrams.

In the DPL Editor, you can perform the following tasks:

  • Opening and Closing Programs

  • Editing Programs

  • Editing/ Viewing the Properties of Programs

  • Printing Programs
