Deleting a Template/ Changing a Template Name
Templates are deleted or have their names modified using the DPL Templates dialog.
To delete a template
1. From the Edit menu choose Templates and then Template Viewer.
The DPL Templates dialog is displayed.
2. Select the required category and template using the dropdown lists on the dialog.
3. Press Edit/ Delete Template.
The Enter New Template Name dialog is displayed.
4. Press the Delete button and when prompted confirm that the template is to be deleted.
The template is deleted.
To change the name of a template
1. From the Edit menu choose Templates and then Template Viewer.
The DPL Templates dialog is displayed.
2. Select the required category and template using the dropdown lists on the dialog.
3. Press Edit/ Delete Template.
The Enter New Template Name dialog is displayed.
4. Enter a different template name and press OK.
The template name has been changed.

The category and all its templates are deleted.
To change the name of a category

3. Press Edit/ Delete Category.
The Enter New Category Name dialog is displayed.
4. Enter a different category name and press OK.
The category name has been changed.

Template Shortcut keys
Templates can be assigned a shortcut key. Whenever the shortcut key is pressed in the DPL view of the DPL editor the template text will be inserted into the program. For example the F11 key could be assigned as the shortcut key for the Array Element Assignment template in the DPL Syntax category of templates. Whenever F11 was then pressed, the text for Array Element Assignment would be inserted into the DPL program.
To assign or change a shortcut key
1. From the Edit menu choose Templates and then Template Viewer.
The DPL Templates dialog is displayed.
2. Select the required category and template using the dropdown lists on the dialog.
3. Press ShortCut Key.
The Edit Shortcut Key dialog is displayed
4. Press the required shortcut key. The shortcut key name will appear in the dialog. If the key is already assigned a function in the DPL editor the dialog will show its current assignment below the keyname.
5. Press the Assign button.
The shortcut key is assigned to the template.
To clear a shortcut key
1. From the Edit menu choose Templates and then Template Viewer.
The DPL Templates dialog is displayed.
2. Select the required category and template using the dropdown lists on the dialog.
3. Press ShortCut Key.
The Edit Shortcut Key dialog is displayed
4. Press the Clear button.
The shortcut key is no longer assigned to the template.
