After Work
Jill teaches five hours a day, twenty-five hours a week altogether. She finishes work at about 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Then she catches a bus home. The buses are sometimes very full, so she takes the underground. Twice a week, on Monday and Friday, she goes to a big supermarket. She buys a lot of things there. Steve leaves his office at about 6 o’clock. Then he hurries home. After supper Steve washes the dishes and then he reads or spends time on hobbies. Jill relaxes with a book or a woman’s magazine, or she sometimes watches a film on television.
How often does Jill teach?
When does she finish her work?
How does she get home?
Where does she go twice a week?
When does Steve finish work?
What do they do after supper?
What do you do after studying at the University?

My Working Day
My name is Arman. I am a student so I am a busy person I must say, that is why my working day begins early. I always get up at 7 o’clock. Before I leave for the institute I have a lot of things to do. First of all I go to the bathroom where I wash and clean my teeth. Then I go to my bedroom where I dress, do a bed and go to the kitchen to have breakfast. While having breakfast I often listen to the latest news on the radio or look through the newspapers. Usually for breakfast I have a cup of coffee with sugar and milk and a sandwich with cheese or sausage. At a quarter past eight I leave home for the institute. It usually takes me about an hour to get there.
I’m never late. I always come to the institute in time. As a rule, we have two seminars and a lecture a day. Between classes we have short breaks. Sometimes my friends and I go to the nearest snack bar to have a bite. Classes are over at about 3 o’clock. If I have no meeting I go home. Sometimes I stay at the institute and go to the reading room of our library to write a report on one of the scientific theme. Our library is very rich in different kinds of modern scientific literature. After classes I go home by bus or by commercial bus. Sometimes I walk after a busy day at the institute.
At home I have dinner and relax listening to the music. Then I prepare my lessons. It usually takes me about three hours. In the evening I have supper with my family discussing our daily problems. At about 8 o’clock I ring my friends up and we walk to the park with our dogs. On Saturdays or Sundays we go to the theater or to the concert of one of the famous singers. I usually go to bed at 11 o’clock. Every day I try to work at my English as I think it’s necessary to know English nowadays. Every evening I read a page of English book and learn English words. I like English and do my best to master it.
