The Past Continuous Tense
іс әрекеттің белгілі бір өткен уақытта болып жатқанын бірақ,
аяқталмағанын білдіреді. (at 4 o’clock yesterday, from 5 till 7 yesterday,
the whole day,when mother came) және былай жасалынады:
