Family Law

Family law is a body of law regulating family relationships, including marriage and divorce, the treatment of children, and economic issues.

It is also concerned with such subjects as adoption, amendment, separation, paternity, custody, support and child care.

Family law is divided into public and private law cases. Public law cases involve local government and other public authorities and include matters such as care of children, supervision and emergency protection orders. Private law cases involve divorce proceedings and access to children by the parents concerned.

Law of Torts

Torts include wrongs such as negligence, defamation, malicious prosecution and nuisance.

Labour law

Labour law is the varied body of law applied to such matters as: employment, remuneration, conditions of work, trade unions, and industrial relations. The term includes social security and disability insurance as well.

The basic subject mater of labour law can be considered under nine broad heads: employment: individual employment relationships; wages and remuneration; conditions of work; healthy, safety, and welfare; social security; trade unions and industrial relations; the administration of Labour Law.

Maritime or Admiralty law

Maritime or Admiralty law is the body of legal rules that governs ships and shipping.

Administrative law

Administrative law is the legislative requirements, typically for businesses, issued by government agencies in published regulations.
