In a police station

Detective: Now, madam, you saw this man, didn’t you, as he came out of the bank?

Woman: Yes, that’s right. But he got into a car straight away, so I didn’t see him very well.

Detective: Well, let’s see if you can describe him. What sort of hair did he have?

Woman: It was quite long, I think, and dark brown in colour.

Detective: Don’t worry about the colour, madam. This long hair, was it straight or wavy?

Woman: Wavy, I think.

Detective: Good. What about his eyes? Did you notice anything about his eyes? Were they wide or …?

Woman: I really don’t know. I don’t think I looked at his eyes.

Detective: Well, never mind. What about the nose? Did he have a large nose?

Woman: Quite large. Well, it was long rather than large. Long and thin.

Detective: Good. And his mouth? Did you notice his mouth?

Woman: Yes, definitely. He had very thin lips. Not a nice mouth at all. And I’ve just remembered. He was wearing glasses.

Detective: Glasses? That’s helpful. Good. Now, finally, what about his chin? He didn’t have a beard, did he?

Woman: No, he was clean-shaven. And he had a dimpled chin.

Detective: Dimpled?

Woman: Yes, you know. With a little hollow in it, like Kirk Douglas. I’m quite sure about it.

Detective: Well, thank you, madam. You’ve been very helpful.
