§ 1. Числительное (the numeral)
231 – two hundred and thirty one
507 – five hundred and seven
3 005 – three thousand and five
5 674 850 – five million six hundred and seventy four thousand eight hundred and fifty
428 – four hundred and twenty-eight
5,000 – five thousand
7,000,032 – seven million and thirty two
В этом случае после них стоит существительное с предлогом of: hundreds of lakes, thousands of workers.
Порядковые числительные образуются прибавлением суффикса -th к количественному числительному, исключения составляют: one - first, two - second, three - third, five - fifth, twelve - twelfth.

five hundred and eighty seventh — пятьсот восемьдесят седьмой
1917 nineteen seventeen,
1848 eighteen forty-eight
1917—nineteen hundred and seventeen
1848—eighteen hundred and forty-eight
7th November, 1917 (the seventh of November, nineteen seventeen)
November 7th, 1917 \ November 7, 1917 \ (November the seventh, nineteen seventeen)
