Употребление после глаголов to see, to watch, to feel и т.д. (т.е.
|
Non-Perfect |
Perfect | |
Indefinite |
Continuous |
Perfect | |
Active |
to use |
to be using |
to have used |
Passive |
to be used |
- |
to have been used |
To control an economy is the same as to intervene in it.
To keep unemployment low means to effectively use labour resource of society.
The firm should change its production costs to lower costs.
I am glad to hear about the success of our company.
Farmers attract additional labour force to be used at harvest time.
The employers’ refusal to raise wages resulted in a strike.
Инфинитив, переводимый придаточным предложением, чаще всего имеет пассивную форму (to be used, to be produced и т. п.):
The Gross National Product per head is an important characteristic to be considered in determining living standards.
To raise the living standards of population is the goal to be only reached under conditions of economic growth.
In order to earn income, we have to work.
To increase their earnings they made this innovation.
The government allocated additional means to create jobs for young people.
The average wage in this industry is high enough to attract workers from other industries.
The wage in this enterprise is too low to attract qualified workers.
