Тема: Great Britain and Ukraine. About Some Prominent People.

Мета: ─ вдосконалювати навички читання, аудіювання та усного мовлення з проблемної ситуації;

─ повторити вживання граматичних структур в PastPerfectActive, навчити вживати аналогічні структури в усному та писемному мовленні;

─ практикувати інтерактивні форми навчання, стимулювати прояви ініціативи учнів групи;

─ розвивати естетичні смаки учнів та їх комунікативні здібності, виховувати повагу до поетичниго слова, любов до української та англійської поезії.

Хід уроку

a) Перевірка виконання домашнього завдання – «About Shakespeare», put the paragraphs A – F in the correct order and read the biography.

b) Вправа 17 стор. 109 – choose sentences and make stories about two great politicians Mykhailo Hrushevskyi and Margaret Thatcher, compare their lives and say what both persons had in common.

c) T.: Do you know the names of other politicians of England and Ukraine?

Could you tell us about their lives and activities?

Why are these persons very popular in the world?

What are their political views?

Do the common people support them? Give your reasons.

d) Повторення: утворення і вживання граматичних структур з Past Perfect active Voice; the pupils have to make up and write down at least three sentences into their exercise-books.

e) T.: And now let’s read and analyze two extracts from wonderful poems (hand-outs):
