Мета: ─ вдосконалювати навички читання та усного мовлення з теми;

─ активізувати вживання нової ситуативної лексики у граматичних структурах та мовних вправах;

─ розвивати пізнавальний інтерес до теми, вміння вести діалог і полілог з проблемних питань даної навчальної ситуації;

─ розвивати аудитивну пам’ять, увагу, спостережливість, елементи логічного та критичного мислення.

Хід уроку

1.Організація класу. Привітання

a) Виконання вправи 18 стор. 110 – read the information about London parks and match the description of each park with its picture:

Hyde Park – St. James’s Park – Regent’s Park – Green Park.

b) Hand-outs: Londoners do not have to go far to find green fields. London is very rich in parks and gardens. Londoners are very proud of them. Hyde Park is certainly the most popular park in London. It may be called a National Park. Londoners love it. On Sunday mornings in summer one can see lots of people sitting with their families on the grass or listening to the music. Some of them are bathing or boating on the Serpentine. Some rich Londoners are riding on horseback – a very expensive pleasure. Hyde Park is the place for different national parades and mass meetings.

c) Вправа 19 стор. 111 – look at the map of Kyiv and answer the questions:

• How many parks are there in Kyiv?

• What parks are there in the center of the city?

• Which park is the biggest?

• Which parks are there on the banks of the Dnipro?

• Have you ever been to Kiev’s parks?

• Are there any parks in our town?

• How often do you visit them?

• What are the attractions in the parks?

• Why do many people go to the park on week-ends?

d) Вправа 20 стор. 111 – divide the text into words and sentences, read the description of one of Kiev’s parks (“Trukhaniv Ostriv”).

e) Вправа 21 стор. 111 – look at the picture and make up a story using some necessary vocabulary («A Good Haul»):

thermos satchel fishing-rod

go fishing basket have a good time

nature mirror carps amazed

to be glad deceit (deceiver) do shopping

no bite to pack in vain

4. Заключна частина уроку.

Домашнє завдання: підготувати розповідь про українські та британські традиції.

Підсумки уроку .Вчитель підводить підсумки уроку і оцінює роботу учнів.

Customs and Traditions in England

Мета: ─ вдосконалювати навички аудіювання та усного мовлення з теми;

─ формувати навички читання і непідготовленого ММ по темі «Britain»;

─ розвивати учнівську спостережливість, аналітичне та критичне мислення;

─ розвивати пізнавальний інтерес до теми, вміння вести дискусію з проблемних питань даної теми.

c) Вправа 23 стор. 112 – listen to the text 34 page 164 and choose the pictures that match them Apple Spas and Epiphany.

d) Вправа 24 стор. 112 – 113: Changing of the Guard and Mounting the Guard – the most colorful traditional ceremonies in London.

Do you know John Bull?

There is no such person as John Bull. He stands for the people of England just as Uncle Sam stands for the people of the USA. But in his picture he does not look at all like Uncle Sam. He is always short and stout. He wears leather breeches, high boots and a funny flat hat. Often he has a club in one hand and a bulldog beside him.
